Stella joined the Dojo in 2012, and in addition to dedicating herself to training at the Dojo, she studied in Japan with Masaaki Kurumaya Sensei in 2013 & 2015, where she featured in a Japanese TV documentary. Stella joined her first Mugenkyo tour in 2016, quickly becoming a star player, thanks to her magnetic persona. With a background in competitive rugby, Stella's favourite taiko forms are the more physically challenging styles of Yatai and Miyake.

Of Chinese parentage and born & bred in Scotland, Stella enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for taiko by instructing the Dojo's outreach courses & workshops.
