For the first time in the UK , Wadaiko London - in association with Tamashii School of Taiko - presents:
A day ofJAPANESE TAIKO DRUMMING
WORKSHOPS facilitated by leading UK taiko
performers/teachers
plus
An evening TAIKO CONCERT performed
by the workshop leaders, members of their taiko groups and friends,
and featuring respected Japanese musicians and their traditional
instruments.
Daytime workshop leaders
- Miyuki Williams - founding member of Mugenkyo the UK's first professional taiko group founded 1994
- James Barrow - founder of Taiko West and co-leader of the UK's first hands-on drumming course 1995
- Liz Walters - founder of Tamashii School of Taiko and 20 years performer/ workshop facilitator
- Markus Guhe - licensed Shakuhachi master, Shinobue and Taiko performer
